We know a tiny bit of history on Betsy. She lived outdoors, on her own, for two years. When she had a litter of kittens, someone scooped her up and dropped her off at an animal shelter. She nursed her newborn kittens in a shelter kennel for at least two weeks before she made it to the top of FOR’s list. With so many animals in need, she was lucky to make the list and she seems to know it. She and all six of her babies are now in foster homes and Betsy is visibly relieved. She follows us around, stares into our eyes, and makes little contentment sounds. She is trying out every sofa and chair, made friends with the resident cats immediately, and eats constantly. She’s terribly thin and knows she has some catching up to do. She’s absolutely delightful and we’re falling in love with her quickly. We’d love for her to find a forever home soon.
