BUCK
??/??/????- 6/7/2013
Buck was named after Buck Island road where he lived as a stray for God knows how long. He was very well known among the residents and clearly needed because he limped and could barely walk. He was skin and bones but nobody could catch him. He was finally caught and brought into the FOR Rescue program. He had to adjust to living in a house and being on a leash. He was socialized and loved. He received Heartworm treatment and had a tumor biopsied from his leg. Buck spent 4 wonderful months in a lovering foster home until he started to go into Heart failure and fluid in his left leg made it painful to walk and was starting to pinch the nerves. FOR rescue made the tough decision to put him down to avoid further pain. One of our wonderful vets was able to come to the home and do the procedure there so Buck wouldnt be stressed in any way. Buck is a perfect example of the lengths rescuers will go to to save even an old dogs life. Giving them the best medical care and making sure their life is the best it can be.
